A Free Book Gifting Program
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age five, through funding shared by Dolly Parton and local community partners in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and Republic of Ireland.
How It Works
Each month, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library mails a high-quality, age-appropriate book to all registered children, addressed to them, at no cost to the child’s family. Countless parents have shared how excited their child is when their new book arrives each month. Many groups and individuals work hard behind the scenes to make that special moment possible for each child.
St. Mary Parish Library is proud to serve as the community’s affiliate for this special program, helping bring the gift of reading to children across St. Mary Parish.

Enroll your child in the Imagination Library and receive a FREE, age-appropriate book once per month. Check availability in your area and register your child today! Registration takes less than five minutes.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is made possible by generous support from St. Mary Parish local program partners, businesses, foundations, and donors like you.
As more children enroll, additional funding is needed to keep the program free for families. Just $31 sponsors one child for a full year, delivering 12 high-quality, age-appropriate books right to their home. How many children can you or your organization sponsor?
